Using Canon CanoScan 5200F with Windows 10

  • download latest ScanGear for Vista 64bit from Canon (I used
  • extract the zip file manually and extract the file manually too as the installer will not work correctly
  • right-click CNQ5200.INF and choose “Install”
  • plugin your scanner, it should be detected and installed correctly
  • verify functionality e.g. with GIMP via “File -> create -> from Scanner/Camera” where it should appear in the list:
